- Group reservations available for groups of 2 to 6 people.
- Maximum seating time on Friday and Saturday is 90 min during our dinner hours.
- Guu will hold your table for any reservation(s) up to 15 minutes after your scheduled dining time. At this point GUU reserves the right to re-allocate the table to another visitor with no guarantee that you will be able to take advantage of the reservation.
- Please keep in mind – We do keep seats available for walk-in customers as well, No available seats on the open-table system (online reservation system) does not always mean we are fully booked.

Guu Original on Thurlow is where the Izakaya boom all started. The Thurlow location is not only the first
Guu to open but, it was the very first Izakaya in Vancouver. Established in 1993 as “Raku” (then changing to
“Guu” in 2000), this Guu location offers the most authentic izakaya experience, offering classic dishes like
Yaki Udon & Oden.
